With WiseTime you can choose to exclude an application or a URL of your active website alongside the window title. This ensures that anytime that you spend in the excluded application/window title will not be added to your Timeline.
This article covers:
To be able to set your exclusions, in the WiseTime Desktop App, select the ellipsis (…) on the left-hand-side of your Profile Picture and select Preferences. Preferences are broken down into the following categories - general, exclusions, experimental features and update preferences.
Excluding App Names & Windows Titles
To help you distinguish your private activities from your work, you can specify which applications and window title keywords you would like excluded from your time logs. Any time entries which contain the app names or window titles that you specify in these settings will not be captured and will not appear in your timeline on the console.
Excluding Applications
Choose from the drop down ‘Select Application’ from the list of applications and click the Exclude button. This will ensure that no time spent in that application will be added to your Timeline. You can select as many applications as you wish.
Excluding Window Titles
If you would just like to exclude specific websites or program popups you can add 'window title' keywords to the Excluded Window Titles text box. For example, by adding 'Facebook' you will exclude any time that you were on Facebook, no matter which web browser you use and it will not be uploaded into your WiseTime console.
To add multiple options, simply add each name or keyword to a separate box. More rows will be automatically added as you type.
