There are two ways that you can create a timesheet entry for you to post your time.
You can create a quick timesheet entry and post this straight away without having to assign any time rows from your Timeline. From your Timeline, you can create a timesheet entry by selecting a row, or multiple rows, and creating a new entry.
Create Quick Timesheet Entry
To create a quick Timesheet entry follow the steps below:
- Click in any field within the new Timesheet entry line
- Select or search for the relevant tag or activity type, and you can use the arrows to add the time or type it in.
- Add the narrative that you wish to have for the entry. You can also use any recent narratives and they will appear as you start typing into the field.
- When you're ready, post your time by either selecting the row/s and clicking the Post button or quick post by clicking the paper plane symbol
NOTE: Tag/s are mandatory to post your time, to learn more about adding tags, click here.
Suggested narratives
WiseTime remembers your previously used narratives, to save you from having to re-type them each time. Simply begin typing into the Narrative text frame, and any previous narratives that match the text you’ve typed will appear as a list of suggestions to select from.
Note that this feature is personal to you and saved descriptions will not transfer between your team members.
Create Timesheet Entry from Timeline Rows
From your Timeline you can select a row, or multiple rows, and click 'New Entry' on the box that appears on the right-hand side.
The rows are then added to a new Timesheet Entry and you can choose to add tags and activity types before you create the entry or within the Timesheet line itself. You can amend the hours to what you'd like. You can also add a narrative if you like or if you have Auto Narrative enabled, then the NarrateGPT feature will do this for you, you can learn more about this here.
You can add more time rows with the same tag to the timesheet entry using Magic Wand (With a single click onany other time rows containing the tags will be added at once).
If you need to unselect the Timeline rows that you have selected, you can click on the at the top right of the box, or you can press the ESC key to unselect the rows. You can also learn about other keyboard shortcuts by clicking here.
TOP TIP
If you know what cases you're going to be working on through the day, you can add these at the start of the day.
You can then quickly add a time row to your Timesheet Entry by using the Add to Entry symbol or if you have multiple rows, select all the rows you'd like added to the relevant timesheet entry, click the Add Entry button on the right-hand side and select the relevant Timesheet entry from the options available.
