Team members wishing to remove themselves from a team and delete their WiseTime account may do so by following the below instructions to 'delete a personal account'.
Team owners or administrators wishing to delete their entire team and cancel a subscription may follow the steps below to 'delete a team'.
Note: deleting a team does not automatically remove all the individual team member accounts. Team members will still be able to login, allowing them to create a new team and continue to use WiseTime. Please instruct team members to login and delete their personal account using the steps below should they also no longer wish to continue using WiseTime.
Delete a personal account
If you wish to anonymise any of the time data you have posted to your team, you must do so prior to deleting your account. By invoking your right to be forgotten, any data that you submitted to your team will no longer bear a connection to you. Your team managers can still call your posted data for inclusion in reports, but it will be shown in an anonymised form.
To invoke the right to be forgotten:
- Login to the online Timeline via https://wisetime.com/customer/
- Go to your 'Profile' page from the left side menu
- Scroll down to your team memberships, and click on 'Leave Team' next to the relevant team
- A pop-up window will appear, select the checkbox 'I want to leave this team' and click 'Leave Team
- The page will then update, and in place of the 'Leave Team' action you will be able to select 'Invoke right to be forgotten'
To delete your personal account:
- Login to the Timeline via https://wisetime.com/customer/
- Go to your 'Profile' page from the left side menu
- Scroll to the bottom and click on ‘Delete My Account’ (1)
- A pop-up window will appear, select 'Yes, remove my WiseTime account and all my time data'
- From the drop down, select your reason for choosing to discontinue with WiseTime
- Select 'Remove my account'
NOTE: you will be unable to delete your personal account if you are the last owner and there are other team members in the team. Ownership of the team will need to be transferred over to another team member via the Team Members page. Following that, deletion of your personal user account will be enabled.
Delete a team and cancel a subscription
If you wish to cancel your subscription, you may do so via the Team Settings page in your online Timeline.
Team Owners and User Admins have access to the Team Settings page, accessed by the left side bar in the Settings (1).
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click DELTE TEAM (2).
- A pop-up window will appear, review the notice, select the checkbox 'Yes, remove the team and cancel WiseTime subscription'.
- Please provide us with feedback as to why you are discontinuing your use of WiseTime
- Click Delete and your team/subscription have been deleted.
NOTE: If your team uses any System Connections, you must first disable the connected system before clicking the 'Remove Team' button. System Connections may be disabled by clicking the trash can icon next to the connection entry in your Team Settings page (3).
NOTE: after clicking the trash can, the connection appears with a strikethrough. It is necessary to confirm the connection removal with a second and final click of the trash can.
If your organisation has multiple teams, each team will need to be removed individually.
If you are no longer using WiseTime, you may also wish to uninstall the app from your desktop.
