Timeline for WiseTime is a mobile app companion to the desktop app. It works on both iPhone and iPads to allow users to view, edit and add to their Timeline on the go.
The iOS Timeline App does not automatically track time that you spend on your device, this is due to operating system limitations.
The Timeline app offers fast, accessible time entry, so that you can record a call when you hang up, add time entries on the go or easily organise your timesheet from your iPhone or iPad.

What can I do on the Timeline App?
The iOS Timeline app has the same functionality as the Timeline application so you will be able to view your activity, submit timesheets on the go and add time as needed.
Your synced tags (matter/case ID's) and activity codes will be available for you to utilize to tag Timeline rows and for your Timesheet entries.
When you create timesheet entries from the Timeline App, it will utilize our NarrateGPT Feature to generate a summary for you.
Create Timesheet Entry in Timeline App
You can choose to create a timesheet entry directly in the Timesheet section of the app, or you can use a Timeline row to create the timesheet entry to then post your time.
Add Manual Time in Timeline App
From the WiseTime Timeline App, you can quickly add time to your Timeline to record the time you've been on calls, reviewed documents, or any other activities you'd like captured while working on your iPhone or iPad.
To add manual time to your Timeline follow the below steps:
- Click and select "Time (t)" from drop down;
- From the Activity drop down, select the task that closely relates to the task you want captured;
- Select the hour blocks applicable - you can amend the time of the hour blocks as required;
- Write a detailed description of the task you have completed; and
- Click Submit
- The time will now be added as a Timeline row that you can use to create timesheet entries for posting.
What can't I do on the iOS Timeline App?
It can't track time spent on your phone as there are strict limitations on what data Apple allows an app to have access to. For example, while you may have the app installed and logged in while you take a phone call, the call record won't show up on your Timeline automatically and you will need to add it.
The Timeline app offers fast, accessible time entry, so that you can record a call when you hang up, add time entries on the go or easily organise your timesheet from your iPhone or iPad.
What about the Android users?
Don't worry - we haven't forgotten about you! The Android app is also planned for development. Release timing is TBC so stay tuned for more exciting news next year.
